MEET OUR PASTOR
Oikos Montrose

I am a native of Katy, Texas and lived there the majority of my life before discipling students as a DCE for 3 years in Georgia.  My wife Rachel and I have lived in Houston since 2015. Relationships are important to me; starting with a relationship with Jesus then flowing to others. This is key to understanding what it is to be a family on mission in Christ, because we see the relationships Jesus had with the Father, his disciples, and those in the community. Rachel grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from the High School for Performing and Visual Arts in 2012 where she played viola in the symphony orchestra. Rachel enjoys spending time with kids, playing her viola, snap chatting and spending time with her family. She is also a First Grade Teacher at Parker Elementary in Westbury.

We both love Fight'n Texas Aggie sports and will frequently attend football games during the fall!

Tori

Thibodeaux

Tori is a recent graduate of Concordia University Texas, and is thrilled to be at Oikos Montrose to complete her Director of Christian Education internship. She was born in Texas, but grew up in the frozen tundra of Minnesota. She and her family finally made it home to Texas, though, in 2014, and haven’t missed the snow at all since. Some of Tori’s favorite things include photography, hammocking, two-stepping, quality time with friends, and obsessing over Disney. One of Tori’s greatest passions is music, which is how she ended up on this DCE path. God kept nudging her in the direction of becoming a worship leader, and here we are now. Tori has been playing piano since she was 3, guitar since high school, and singing as long as she can remember. Along with that, she also plays 6 other instruments, including the banjo! In her free time, Tori is also a songwriter, and has even released a full-length album of original music. If you ever need someone for a game night, someone to watch your cats, or have any top notch queso recommendations, feel free to get in touch!
